FACILITIES SECURITY TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, inspect, and repair access control locking devices, including: low voltage electric door hardware, CCTV, IP and analog cameras. Evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot systems; coordinate with vendors, department leaders, and maintenance personnel to control security systems, acquire parts, and complete projects/work requests/preventive maintenance. Manage and maintain intrusion alarm, video security and door access systems, including security records and reporting. Train new personnel on systems and procedures.

Status: 

Full-time, non-exempt, benefited

Working hours: 

Primarily Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, including on-call and extended hours as needed. Hybrid workplace options available.

Location:

Columbia, Missouri

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of installation, maintenance, and repair experience with functional and technical knowledge in intrusion alarm, CCTV, access control, networking, and computer software skills. Must have and maintain a valid drivers license. Heights and lifting are a common occurrence. Must meet minimum qualifications set forth by the FBI and MSHP CJIS Security policy.

Salary Range: 

$21.98 - $32.96 per hour. Commensurate with experience.
