Responsibilities:

Responsible for the administration of the Children's Services sales tax, the portion of the Boone Hospital lease revenue designated for health care, the domestic violence funds collected through court fees, and Social Service funding. Serves as technical advisor to the County Commission & the manager of the Children's Services Board. Responsible for the structure, policies, and procedures used to ensure the objectives of the department's contracts are accomplished and vendors meet responsibilities. Coordinates department activities and services with other public and/or private organizations and secures conformance with federal, state, and local regulations. Participates in coalitions, taskforces, and other community groups. Maintains effective working relationships with other departments, offices, agencies, organizations, groups, and the public. Ensures the Community Services Department is operated transparently and the funds it administers are invested wisely to earn and sustain the public's trust.

Status: 

Full Time, Benefitted, Exempt

Working hours: 

Primarily 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Location:

Columbia, Missouri

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Organizational Leadership or related field and five years of progressively responsible professional experience in community services or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Starting Salary Range: 

Salary commensurate with experience.
