The Appraiser/Apprentice will collect and record data essential to the valuation process to provide an indication of fair market value. Conduct on-site field inspections on residential and agricultural properties. Measure homes and structures, interview property owners, contractors, realtors, and other persons familiar with property necessary to estimate property values. Provide information to the public regarding residential appraisals and other duties as assigned.
This entry-level career provides the employee with the opportunity to learn to apply the principles and techniques of real estate appraisals. It also gives the opportunity to obtain State Certification in residential and commercial real estate resulting in significant increases in pay over the next 2-4 years.

Bachelor's degree in business management/real estate, mathematics, computer science or a related field; Prefer previous real estate and Microsoft Word/Excel experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The preferred candidate will have the ability to multi-task and develop good interpersonal communications with coworkers and the public.
