SYSTEMS AND SUPPORT MANAGER

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and evaluate the work of assigned staff. Work closely with management and other professional staff within the county. Responsible for management activities, including policy development and implementation of departmental and county objectives. Assist in developing a budget based on the county's needs, monitor expenditures, and recommend adjustments as needed. Provide input into the evaluation of new technical proposals. Assist county departments in developing bid specifications. Manage technical staff in the installation, implementation, and maintenance of computer equipment. Provide technical consulting services to departments. Research and keep current on new technology. Perform other duties as assigned.

Status: 

Full-time, exempt, benefited

Working hours: 

Primarily 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Location:

Columbia, Missouri

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and five years computer systems technical support experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Must have experience in Microsoft Server, Networking, Information Technology Operations, Application Administration, PC Workstations and Integration of Technology Platforms.

Preferred qualifications: Personnel supervision experience; working knowledge of server administration, database systems, end-user support, development/production environments, computer networks, security, file servers, backup and recovery. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and customer service skills are essential.

Commensurate with experience
