This information reflects the original outcome and strategies engaged in by the Housing Access and Support Alliance workgroup following the release of the Mobility Action Plan in 2022. The workgroup continues to adapt their current activities through collaboration during workgroup meetings.
Result Statement:
All people in Boone County have safe, quality, and affordable housing.
Outcomes & Strategies
Outcome:
Increase "Second-Chance" leasing opportunities.
Strategies:
- Improve community messaging around housing assistance programs
- Develop and implement a training program for housing providers
- Develop and implement a training program for residents
- Expand capacity to provide wraparound supportive services for residents
- Develop and implement 'Second Chance' Lease agreements
- Develop coordinator position to connect residents with supportive services
