Boone County Collector's Office COVID-19 Response
March 19, 2020—To practice social distancing and limit potential exposure to COVID-19, the Boone County Collector’s Office will be following the CDC and local public health officials’ recommendations. Our expectation is to remain open with minimum staffing levels to provide essential services over the next 15 days.
We encourage taxpayers to call the Collector’s office at 573-886-4285, or email at collector@boonecountymo.org with questions or concerns, as we may be able to assist without a visit to the Government Center. Or, visit our website at www.showmeboone.com/COLLECTOR for more information on services we provide.
Paid property tax receipts and statements of non-assessments can be emailed. Most local vehicle licensing offices will accept these electronic copies. In addition, paid property tax records are provided weekly to the DOR for online licensing renewals or in-person visits to local license offices.
Property tax payments will still be processed in the office. However, we request that payments be mailed, placed in our drop box at the Government Center entrance at the corner of 9th and Ash St., made online at www.showmeboone.com/COLLECTOR, or over the phone by calling 1-877-690-3729. This will help us limit the face-to-face contact.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
