Boone County Clerk's Office to Offer Public Demonstration of Potential Voting Equipment

April 18, 2019– The Boone County Clerk’s Office is in the process of replacing the county’s voting equipment, which was purchased in 2006. In March, the office put out a request for proposals, which included an invitation for voting equipment vendors to participate in a public demonstration so that voters have an opportunity to view and experience the equipment.

All three voting equipment vendors that responded to the request for proposals—Elections Systems & Software, Henry Adkins & Son, and Elkins-Swyers Company—will display their voting equipment on May 2, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Activity & Recreation Center, 1701 W. Ash St., Columbia, MO. All are invited to attend the demonstration.

“Replacing our fleet of voting equipment is critical for maintaining the quality experience that Boone County voters have come to expect in our elections,” said Boone County Clerk Brianna Lennon. “It’s important to me that voters have the opportunity to experience the equipment in person.”
