Tire, Electronic and Household Hazardous Waste Collection To Be Held Saturday, May 30, 2015

In a collaborative effort, Boone County, City of Columbia, the University of Missouri, Midwest Recycling, ABC Tire LLC and Clean Harbors, Inc. will host a Tire, Electronic and Household Waste Collection on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 9:00AM until 1:00PM. Waste items may be brought during these hours to the University of Missouri Hearnes Center Parking Lot on Mick Deaver Drive off of Providence Road, south of the football stadium.
There will be no charge for hazardous household waste products. Please visit www.mmswmd.org for a list of accepted items.
There will also be no charge for any and all electronic waste items. All electric and battery-operated items will be accepted.
There will be fees charged for the disposal of tires. For car tires (16” or smaller), the charge is $1 per tire or $2 if still on the rim. For truck or tractor tires (over 16”), the charge is $5 per tire or $10 if still on the rim. There will be a charge on every tire. Please note, there is a strict limit of 50 tires per person. Any tires over that amount will not be accepted.
Please, no early drop offs or commercial disposal of household hazardous waste or tires. Households and farms from Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage counties are welcome to participate. No pre-registration is required.
