Boone County Government Offices and Departments Closing at Noon Due to Inclement Weather

Due to the inclement weather, the Boone County Commission has made the decision to close Boone County Government offices and departments at 12:00 PM today. This is also in response to the announcement that Governor Jay Nixon has declared a state of emergency in Missouri. All meetings previously scheduled to occur at Boone County buildings, including the Planning and Zoning Commission scheduled for 6:30 PM this evening, have been cancelled.
The County of Boone would like to remind citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and take the necessary precautions to ensure their safety. For the latest information, stay tuned to local media and NOAA Weather Radio.
