Liquor License
Missouri Law, ยง311.220 RSMo, requires that any individual or business that is authorized to have a State of Missouri Liquor License must also have a valid Boone County Liquor License in order to operate within the county.
The Boone County Collector collects liquor licenses on behalf of the County. The fees vary depending on the nature of the business. Liquor licenses are valid from the dates indicated on the license.
All applicable property taxes in the name of the business must be paid before a liquor license will be issued. Individuals applying for a liquor license may also be required to show proof that property taxes have been paid.
The collector's office accepts license and permit payments by cash, personal check, cashier's check, bank draft, money order or credit cards. One check may be written for multiple bills of licenses or permits, personal property, and/or real estate, if the total of the bills are added correctly. The entire amount due for the license or permit must be paid before one can be issued. Please do not send cash through the mail. Liquor licenses can be paid online.
Please see the Methods of Tax Payment page for detailed information.
