Budget Reports
Boone County's budgetary process is governed by Missouri statutes (RSMo 50. 525 - 50.745). The County Auditor serves as Budget Officer and upon adoption by the County Commission, the annual budget provides the legal spending authority for county's elected officials and appointed department directors.
Each year, the County submits its Budget for review by an independent panel appointed by the GFOA (Government Finance Officers Association). The County has a long-standing history of earning the GFOA's Certificate of Recognition for Budget Preparation and will continue its participation in this program.
