Boone County Celebrates Regional Law Enforcement Training Center Groundbreaking

Open House Meeting Regarding New Fire Station at East Broadway and El Chaparral Ave. South

The development of a fire station at the intersection of East Broadway and El Chaparral Avenue South will be the topic of an informal open house meeting on Wednesday, March 27, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the lower level of the church building located at 1020 El Chaparral Ave. S, formerly New Horizons United Methodist Church. The meeting, hosted by the City of Columbia Public Works Department, is open to the public.
Boone County Commission Will Explore Policy Criteria with Approval of Proposition 1 in April

On the April 2, 2024 General Municipal Election ballot, voters in Boone County will have the opportunity to vote on whether the County Commission should implement a property tax exemption for senior citizens. Voters in Boone County will be presented with Proposition 1: “Shall the County of Boone exempt senior citizens from certain increases in the property tax liability due on such senior citizens’ primary residences?”
