This is a voluntary board
charged with making recommendations for maintaining and enhancing public parks
for which
Four interim
vacancies representing Bourbon Township expiring 9/30/2009, Centralia Township
expiring 9/30/2011, Three Creeks Township expiring 1/1/2011, and Katy Township
expiring 2/13/2012

Ten member
Board with one being from each township in
Four, 5-year
vacancies representing Bourbon Township expiring 1/1/2013, Centralia Township
expiring 12/31/2012, Cedar Township expiring 1/1/2013, and Three Creeks
Township expiring 6/10/2013.
Applications
for all vacancies will be accepted until filled.
Four County appointees. Monthly meetings are the fourth Tuesday of each month on
the 3rd floor Daniel Boone Building at 7:00 p.m. The Commission serves in an advisory
capacity in all matters pertaining to environmental protection and assists in
the planning of environmental improvements. They also assist in the promotion
and stimulation of public interest. Term
- 3 years

The IDA of
the County of Boone is a local quasi-governmental corporation organized under
Chapter 349 of the Revised Statute of Missouri. The IDA was formed in 1979 to
facilitate the issuance of tax-free industrial development bonds for the
development of commercial, industrial, agricultural and manufacturing
facilities in the county. The IDA is governed by a nine member board that is
appointed by the Boone County Commission.
Term – 6 years
Members:
One term vacancy expiring and 11/18/2015
One interim vacancy term expiring 8/31/2011
Applications
will be accepted until filled.
Board consisting of not
less than nine members; no more than one-third shall represent service
providers; at least one-third shall be consumers or families of such consumers;
include one physician; at least one-half of the board shall be individuals who
are not providers of health care. This board may, in conjunction with county
government, place on the ballot a Mental Health Mill Tax without a petition
process. The Board meets the second Monday of each month at 4:15 p.m. at the
Boone County Government Center. Term
– 3 years
One 6-year term vacancy expiring and 1/31/2012

Ten member Board to include one citizen from an unincorporated
area of each Township in
Two interim vacancies; Missouri Township expiring 4/15/2011, Perche
Creek Township expiring 4/1/2013
Applications

Voluntary committee
consisting of thirteen members selected as follows; Public Works Director,
County Commissioner, Representative from Planning Department and ten Boone
County Citizens. One Boone County citizen will be selected from each of the ten
townships within the County. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month
at 5:30 p.m. in the Roger B Wilson Boone County Government Center Chambers. Term – 4 years

vacancies representing Cedar Township expiring 7/08/2011 and Columbia Township
expiring 5/26/2010
One 4-year term vacancy for Bourbon Township expiring

One 4-year term vacancy for Centralia
Township expiring 6/30/2010

A voluntary committee
consisting of ten members, one from each township. This board coordinates and
monitors the changing needs of seniors, and looks for new methods of funding
their needs. This board deals with the full scope of senior issues and looks
for model programs in the United States that would set standards for our
county. Anyone interested in “senior issues” may apply to this board. The Board
meets the second Wednesday of every other month at 1:00 p.m. at the Roger B.
Wilson Boone County Government Center , 801 E. Walnut, Room 245. Term – 4 years
Three interim
vacancies representing Missouri Township expiring 5/05/2011, Three Creeks
Township expiring 9/9/2011, and Bourbon Township expiring 1/31/2010
Applications
for these vacancies will be accepted until filled.
Advisory board consisting of persons appointed by the Boone County
Commission which evaluates evidence concerning dogs which are claimed to be
vicious and makes a recommendation of their classification and disposition to
the Health Department Director. The Board shall consist of five members, consisting of
one licensed veterinarian, one animal control officer, one member from the
Boone County Board of Health, one member from the public with a working
knowledge of dogs, and one member from the public at large. The Board will
convene at the request of the Health Director. Term - 3 years
