Paying Taxes by Phone

The functionality of the payment by phone service relies on several systems and electronic devices; therefore, the availability of the service cannot be guaranteed at all times. The Boone County Collector's office encourages taxpayers wishing to pay their taxes with this service to do so in a timely manner before midnight December 31. Any tax payment not received by the due date will be subject to applicable late penalties and fees.

You should have the following items ready to use this service:

1. Property Tax Bill or Bill Number

2. Total Amount Due

3. Credit Card or Check Book

Instructions

1. Press Option 3: Pay Property Taxes

2. Enter the jurisdiction code for Boone County: 3517

3. Continue to follow the prompts to pay your tax bill(s). Remember to enter the tax bill number exactly as shown on the copy of your bill. Please pay the entire amount of the tax bill. Partial payments for real estate bills are not accepted.

4. After the authorization of your payment, you will be given a confirmation number that you should keep for your records

5. You will receive your official property tax receipts from the collector's office in approximately 3 to 5 business days after paying with this service.

• A convenience fee of 2.75% of the total bill will be charged to each transaction processed by phone when paying by credit card.



• A flat fee of $2.75 per transaction will be charged to each transaction paid with e-check.

• A $25.00 returned payment fee will be added for any e-check returned for any reason.
