Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports
The Boone County Auditor is responsible for preparing the County's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and coordinating the County's annual independent financial audit. The County's ACFR is prepared in accordance with the standards established by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) and the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) and provides extensive information beyond that which is required in the basic financial statements.
Each year, the County submits its ACFR for review by an independent panel appointed by the GFOA. The County has a long-standing history of earning the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and will continue its participation in this program.
